According to the parents, Adama was initially taken to the Bo government hospital with the following complaints: Fever and palmer pallor. Adama was admitted for over two weeks and transfused four times during admission at the Bo government hospital.

According to the parents, Adama was initially taken to the Bo government hospital with the following complaints: Fever and palmer pallor. Adama was admitted for over two weeks and transfused four times during admission at the Bo government hospital.
Meanwhile, due to the poor management, no improvement (generalized body edema) and too much request for money by the hospital staff left the parents with no option but to abscond and went to the church with the idea that there was a witch craft chasing their child. After few days spent in the church with no improvement, a beneficiary of BCH from the church advised them to take Adama to BCH for further investigations and management.

After all investigations including full bloods count, urinalysis, and stool test, the following diagnoses were made: S/malaria 2nd to S/anemia, typhoid fever, PUD, sickle cell disease, high blood sugar (RBS -14mmo/l), Giardiasis. A lots of abnormalities were also found in the urine like Proteins+++, Blood++, Leukocytes++ .

The above medications were given progressively (were not given together) and the patient spent 2 weeks on admission before she was recovered.
Adama's life was saved thanks to the Bo Children's hospital.
