The Bo Children's Hospital in Bo, Sierra Leone started of as simply a dream of Dr Nuli Lemoh, a Sydney Paediatrician born in Bo.
While working in Sierra Leone, Dr Lemoh recognised the severe need for health infrastructure, especially for children. In fact, for a population of 5.5 million, Sierra Leone had only one children's hospital located near the coastal city of Freetown and inaccessible to most of the population. That 1 in 5 children in Sierra Leone are dying before the age of 5 reinforces the dire need for another children's hospital.
Dr Lemoh's dream is now a reality, with strong, ongoing support. Stay in touch with our regular email newsletter, project updates as well as the latest developments with Bo Children's Hospital's efforts to make a positive impact on the lives of children in Sierra Leone.
